This year I had the good fortune to be introduced to Mike Fahandej-Sade. Mike represented my partner in the sale of her James St. north condo in Hamilton. My partners overriding concern was that the real estate market was prone to a correction. Mike agreed with this assessment and very decisively managed to list the property, at the right price and sell the property before the market correction. I was very impressed with Mike’s understanding of the risks involved. It was in a large part do to Mike’s ability to get my partners property sold quickly that I decided to assign the listing of my house on Macnab to Mike’s capable hands. However the market has changed considerably in the weeks following my partner’s listing and sale. What became very apparent as interest rates began to rise is that the bull market was over. I faced selling my house in a buyers’ market. Once again, I was impressed with Mike’s astute observation. When I asked him what price we should list, he replied with exactly the same number I had in mind. As it turned out Mike has a great grasp of the market dynamics at that time. The market proved Mike was correct! I was fortunate to get two very good offers on my property and was very happy with the price that I got and how smooth the transaction was executed. My old house is now owned by a very nice couple who will be an asset to that community. In summary, Mike has a good grasp of market conditions and he was a very good network of resources to get a property to market quickly yet also in a well presented manner.
